Licensing

To run raffles, offline or online your charity needs to be registered with your local authority. Its called a small society lottery license. There is a good chance your charity already has this. If not simply contact your local authority licensing department, you will find the email and number online. Registration takes a week and costs £40 for the first year and £17 per year thereafter.If you already are registered with your local authority and hold a small society lottery license you can run your own raffle straight away.

Setting up a raffle is easy

First of all register your charity and add your charity information, if you already have the license you can be live with in minutes.

As soon as you're registered and are approved you can upload your first raffle. The process is very easy and straight forward;

  1. Set the ticket prize, min £1 & max £50 per ticket
  2. Add raffle product information with photos.
  3. If you have a sponsor for the prize you also need to add sponsor info and logo.
  4. Approve the prize and you are ready to go now!

Each supporter receives a ticket or tickets via email and all are notified when the draw takes place of who has won and thanking them for their support.
